Device redirection directory

The Device redirection settings directory is used to manage the redirection variants of data flow from some objects of the system to others (hereafter referred to as device redirection variants).

Location of the settings directory: DevicesSettingsDevice redirection.

Data grid columns:

  • From is the main device from which the information is redirected.

  • To is the device to which the information is redirected.

  • Comment is a short comment.

  • Timeout is the waiting time for the job to be executed on the main device.

    The context menu of the directory contains the following commands:

    • Add (Ins) – adds a new device redirection.

    • Edit (F2) – edits attributes of the existing device redirections.

    • Delete (Del) – permanently deletes device redirections from the directory.

    • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

    • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

    • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

    • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

    To add a new device redirection, please use the New device redirection and New device redirections entry windows. To edit attributes of device redirections, use the Device redirection or Device redirections editor windows.

    When deleting device redirections from the directory, a confirmation prompt appears.
