Stock item groups directory

The Stock item groups directory is used to manage stock item groups.

Stock items can be grouped according to any criteria, for example vegetables, deli, groceries, purchased items, restaurant equipment.

Location of the directory: StoreDirectoriesStock item groups.

Data grid columns:

  • Name denotes the name of the stock item group.

  • Description is a brief description of the menu group.

  • Parent group indicates the name of the stock item group to which this group belongs. This value is specified only for nested groups.

  • Security level indicates the security level assigned to the stock item group.

  • System is a tag identifying system objects.

The context menu contains the following commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a new stock item group.

  • Edit (F2) – edits stock item groups.

  • Delete (Del) – deletes stock item groups to the Recycle bin.

  • Export – menu with the commands to export files into an external file or update package.

  • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

In order to add new stock item groups to the directory, use the New stock item group and New stock item groups windows. The Stock item group and Stock item groups windows are used to edit stock item groups.

A confirm deletion prompt appears when you delete stock item groups. When a stock item group is deleted, all its nested stock items and stock item groups are also deleted.

The Select stock item group window is used to select stock item groups from fields of entry and editor windows.
