Cooking wastage panel in the Stock item window

The Cooking wastage panel is used to manage cooking options for each stock item. The panel contains a data grid where you can indicate how much of the stock item is lost when it is “cooked” (boiled, roasted, baked, etc.).

Data grid columns:

  • Name indicates the name of the cooking wastage type.

  • Cooking wastage % denotes the percentage by which the quantity changes as a result of cooking.

    The modification percentage can be positive or negative. Positive value shows what part of the stock item will be lost during cooking. Negative value indicates by what percentage the quantity of the stock item will increase.

  • Default indicates whether this type of cooking is set as the default option.

  • Stock item is the stock item to which the cooking wastage type applies.

The specification context menu contains the following commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a new cooking wastage type.

  • Edit (F2) – edits the selected cooking wastage types.

  • Delete (Del) – deletes the selected cooking wastage types.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

The New cooking wastage type entry window is used to add a new cooking wastage type to a stock item. The Cooking wastage type and Cooking wastage types editor windows are used to alter parameters of cooking wastage types.

The confirm permanent deletion prompt is used when you delete cooking wastage types.

Cooking wastage types can be selected from the Cooking wastage % drop-down list enabled in other windows.
