Cold preparation wastage type window

Windows used to manage cold preparation wastage types:

All of these windows are opened from the Cold preparation wastage panel data grid.

The editor window is opened by using the Edit command in the context menu. From here, you can edit one or more cold preparation wastage types.

If one item is selected in the data grid, the Cold preparation wastage type editor window opens.

Window fields:

  • Stock item is the name of the stock item to which the cold preparation wastage type applies. This is a required field.

  • Name is the name of the cold preparation wastage type. This is a required field.

    These names are displayed in the Cold preparation wastage % drop-down list in editor and entry windows.

  • Cold preparation wastage % denotes the quantity of the stock item modified during cold preparation. This is a required field.

    If a value greater than 100 is entered in the Cold preparation wastage % field, an error icon will be displayed to the left of the field. Placing the cursor over the icon opens an error message popup.

    The cold preparation percentage shows what part of the stock item will be lost during the cold preparation of this type. This index is used to calculate how much of the stock item is required to prepare this dish. The quantity modification percentage can be found during preparation experiments or taken from professional reference books.

    For example, the quantity of the Potato stock item after skinning is modified by 20%. This means that after peeling, 3 kg of potatoes (gross weight) will weigh only 2.4 kg (net weight).

  • Default defines this cold preparation wastage type as the default selection when included into a recipe or storage document. This is a required field.

    You can choose between: No and Yes. The Yes option is enabled only for one cold preparation wastage type.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

When two or more cold preparation wastage types are selected, the multiple editor window opens. The name of the editor window changes to Cold preparation wastage types. A panel with a list of the selected items is added to the editor window.

The fields are similar to those in the Cold preparation wastage type window.

You can open the New cold preparation wastage type entry window by using the Add command. From here, you can add a new item to the specification.
