Specification panel in the Employee privilege set window

The Specification panel is used to control the privileges defined in the employee privilege set.

The privileges are displayed in the form of a tree list. Privilege groups describe two or more privileges to which you can simultaneously assign or cancel access.

In an employee privilege set, you can separately assign viewing and editing privileges. If the privileges to manage a directory are not set up for the user, the main menu will not include the option to open this directory.

If the privileges to view objects are not set up for the user, these objects will not be displayed for this user in Tillypad XL Manager data grids and on Tillypad XL POS. If the user has only viewing privileges for objects, the objects will be displayed, but the commands to edit them will be unavailable to the user. The user can only modify objects if he or she has editing privileges for them.

In the employee privilege set, you can set up privileges to run operations and privileges to confirm operations. This way, you can share the responsibility for running important operations between two users. You can also define operations such that they require validation by two users (and therefore cannot be run by one person alone). For example, a waiter can only close his or her own guest tabs, while the administrator can confirm the closure of any guest tabs. If the waiter tries to close someone else's guest tab, the system will require confirmation of this operation. To confirm the closure of someone else's guest tab, the waiter will need the administrator.

Data grid column:

  • Name indicates the names of the privilege group and the privileges to which the user has access.

The data grid context menu on the Specification panel contains the following commands:

  • Assign access (F8) – assigns access to selected privileges.

  • Revoke access (F7) – revokes access to selected privileges.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

You can assign or revoke access to each privilege. The icon used to mark a privilege depends on the state of this privilege.
