Edit model record window

Report query model items are managed in the Edit model record or Edit model records editor windows.

You can open these windows by using the Edit command in the context menu of the Model panel data grid when selecting one or more model data set elements.

The Edit model record window opens if one entry is selected in the data grid.

Window fields:

  • Field is the name of the field received from the data set of the query.

    This field is read-only.

  • Header is the column header in the report data grid.

  • Visible indicates whether or not the data grid column will be displayed.

You can select one of the following options:

    • Default,

    • Yes,

    • No,

    • Hidden.

If Default is selected, whether the column is displayed in the data grid is determined by whether the field received from the query is itself visible.

Selecting Yes will display the column in the data grid. The user can hide this column in the Table properties window.

Selecting No will hide the column. However, if necessary, the user can make this column visible in the Table properties window.

If Hidden is selected, the column will not be displayed in the panel data grid. The column will be unavailable in the Table properties panel.

  • Index is the sequence order in which columns are located in the data grid of the report viewing window.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

The multiple model records editor window opens when two or more records are selected in the data grid. A panel with a list of the selected items is added to the window, and the name of the window changes to Edit model records.

The fields are similar to those in the Edit model record window.
