Task window

Windows used to manage tasks:

All of these windows are opened from the context menu of the Tasks directory data grid.

The editor window is opened by using the Edit command when one or more tasks are selected.

If one entry is selected in the data grid, the Task editor window will open. The window is composed of the Properties and Schedule panels.

The Properties panel is composed of the following fields:

  • Name indicates the name of the task. This is a required field.

  • Task type is the task type with which the task is associated. This is a required field.

    Please select a type in the Select task type window.

  • Employee denotes the employee who created the task. This is a required field.

    Please select an employee in the Select employee window.

  • Filter parameters are the filter parameter panels corresponding to the filter wizard steps for the selected task type.

  • Inactive shows that task execution has been temporarily disabled. This is a required field.

    You can choose between Yes and No.

  • Description is a brief text description of the task.

    Any additional information can be entered in this field.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Apply will save data without closing the window. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

When two or more tasks are selected for editing, the Tasks editor window opens. A panel with a list of the selected items is added to the window. This window will not contain the Filter parameters field.

The fields and panels are similar to those in the Task window.

The entry window is used to add one or more tasks to the directory.

You can open the New task entry window by using the Add command or by pasting one task from the clipboard.

You can open the New tasks entry window by pasting two or more tasks from the clipboard. A panel with a list of the tasks pasted from the clipboard is added to the window.
