Windows used to manage task execution schedules:

All of these windows are opened from the data grid context menu in the Schedule panel of the Task window.

You can open the editor window by using the Edit command. From here, you can modify one or more schedules.

If one item is selected, the Schedule window opens. The window always displays the Properties panel. The appearance of the window changes according to the selected schedule type.

The Properties panel is composed of the following fields:

  • Task is the task that will run according to this schedule. This is a required field.

  • Inactive shows that the schedule is temporarily disabled. This is a required field.

    You can choose between Yes and No. Even if the schedule is inactive, you can still start the task manually.

  • Schedule type is the type to which the task schedule belongs. This is a required field.

    You can select one of the following options:

    • On server start – this will launch the task every time the segment server starts.

    • At a specified time – this will start the task once at a user-specified time.

      Selecting this option adds the Date field to the window. In this field, the task start date and time are specified.

    • Recurring – the task is executed periodically at user-specified intervals.

      In this case, the window displays the additional panels: Recurrence , Day schedule , and Schedule limits .

  • Date is the date and time when the task is started. This is a required field.

    The field only appears when you have selected the At a specified time value in the Schedule type field.

You can open the Schedules editor window by using the Edit command when two or more task schedules are selected in the specification. The window displays a panel with the names of tasks, to which the selected schedules belong.

The panels and fields of the window depend on the selected values and are similar to those in the Schedule window.

You can open the New schedule entry window by using the Add command. From here, you can create a new task schedule.
