The Point types directory is used to manage point types utilised in the discount system.

Location: Sales – Promotion directories – Point types.

Data grid columns:

Name is the name of the point type.
Description is a brief description of the point type.
Cumulative indicates whether accrued points of this type will be saved (accumulated) in the database.
Security level is the security level assigned to the point type.
System is a tag identifying system objects.

The context menu of the directory contains the following commands:

Add (Ins) – adds a point type to the directory.
Edit (F2) – edits attributes of point types.
Delete (Del) – deletes point types from the directory to the Recycle bin.
Regular customer points operations – opens a window that displays the regular customer points operations for the selected point type.
Export – menu with the commands to export files into an external file or update package.
Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.
Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.
Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.
Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add new point types to the directory, use the New point type and New point types entry windows. To edit attributes of point types, use the Point type and Point types editor windows.

A confirmation prompt appears when you delete point types from the directory.

The Select point type window is used to open the directory data grid from the window fields.
