The Computers directory is used to manage the computers that are part of the Tillypad XL system.

Location of the directory: Devices - Directories - Computers.

Data grid columns:

  • Name is the name of the computer that belongs in the system.

  • Description is a brief description of the computer.

  • Unique number denotes the unique characteristics of the computer (number, network name, IP address, etc.).

  • System is a tag identifying system objects.

The context menu contains the following commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a new computer to the directory.

  • Edit (F2) – edits attributes of the existing computers.

  • Delete (Del) – deletes computers from the directory to the Recycle bin.

  • Export – menu with the commands to export files into an external file or update package.

  • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add new computers, please use the New computer and New computers entry window. To edit computer attributes, use the Computer and Computers editor windows.

When deleting computers from the directory, a confirm deletion prompt is used.
