Keyboard layouts directory

The Keyboard layouts directory is used to manage keyboard layouts, which determine the functions of certain keys on keyboard formats for devices.

Location of the directory: DevicesDirectoriesKeyboard layouts.

Data grid columns:

  • Name is the name of the keyboard layout.

  • Description is a brief description of the keyboard layout.

  • Software module is the software module for which the keyboard format is specified.

  • Security level is the security level assigned to the keyboard layout.

  • System is a tag identifying system objects.

The context menu of the directory contains the following commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a new keyboard layout to the directory.

  • Edit (F2) – edits attributes of the keyboard layouts.

  • Delete (Del) – deletes keyboard layouts from the directory to the Recycle bin.

  • Export – menu with the commands to export files into an external file or update package.

  • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add keyboard layouts, use the New keyboard layout and New keyboard layouts entry windows. To edit attributes of keyboard layouts, use the Keyboard layout or Keyboard layouts editor windows.

When you delete keyboard layouts from the directory, a confirmation prompt appears.

To open the directory from windows of other directories, use the Select keyboard layout window.
