The editor window is the same as the Modifier group window in the Menu directory.

Window fields:

  • Modifier indicates the name of the draft modifier which includes this draft modifier group. In the editor window, this field is read-only.

In the entry window, this field is editable and must be filled out.

This field displays the name of the draft modifier as it is written in the Name field of the Properties panel in the draft modifier window.

The name of the draft modifier will be shown in the POS terminal menu or on the PAD screen when the draft is activated.

  • Name indicates the name of the draft modifier group. This is a required field.

Once the draft is activated, the name of this group is displayed on the POS terminal screen when the associated menu item is added to an order. Selecting this group makes its subordinate items available for selection.

  • Description is a brief description of the modifier group.

Any additional information can be entered in this field.

  • Index is the number that determines the position of the group in the list of modifier groups on the POS terminal.

This value allows you to change the display order of modifier groups in the POS terminal menu. By default the highest index is assigned to a new item. The index parameter can be used to place the most popular groups higher up in the list of draft menu groups, making them easier to access at the terminal.

  • Required indicates that it is necessary to use this group. This is a required field.

Please choose between: No and Yes.

If Yes is selected, the user must select at least one item from the modifier group and add it to an order. If the field is set to No, the POS terminal user can decide whether to add modifier items from the group to an order or not.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

When two or more groups are selected for editing, the multiple draft modifier groups window opens. A panel with the list of the selected groups is added to the editor window.

The fields and panels are similar to those in the Draft modifier group editor window.

You can open the New draft modifier group entry window by using the Add group command. From here, it is possible to add a new group to the draft modifier.
