Local licences are verified by the segment application server. For this purpose, you need to download the required licence packages to the segment database.

A licence package is a file with the *.tpxl_lic extension containing information allowing local licences to be checked by the segment application server.

The Licence package panel is composed of the following fields:

  • Status indicates the current status of the licence package. This field is read-only.

    Possible values:

    • Activation required – the licence package file exists, but the file key does not match the key in the segment database. Operation with an offline licence verification is not possible.

    • Activated – the licence package file exists, and its key matches the one in the segment database. Operation with an offline licence verification is possible.

    • Not activated – the licence package file is missing. Operation is possible with an online licence verification.

  • Key is the key of the segment database. This field is read-only.

  • Licences file is the name of the file with the licence package (key of the file with the licence package).

    The Licences file field is a combo box where you can select a licence package file and view information about the package and its licences. This field contains display fields with information about the file and a data grid with information about licences in the package.

    Combo box fields:

    • Date is the date the file with the licence package was created. This field is read-only.

    • Description is a brief text description of the file with the licence package. This field is read-only.

    Combo box columns:

    • Licence key is a unique licence number in the form of a GUID.

      Only suspension points and the last group of symbols are displayed in the column.

    • Functionality denotes the functionalities provided by the licence.

      The functionalities are represented by the following icons:

      • Front office,

      • Back office,

      • Store,

      • Reports.

    • Start date is the start date of the licence package validity.

    • End date is the end date of the licence package validity.

    • Licence holder is the name and details of the company that owns this licence.

    If you have selected a licence package file, the combo box fields and its data grid are populated with the data from this file.
