Fiscal registers can operate in the fiscal and non-fiscal modes.

Fiscal mode is the primary operating mode that ensures registration of fiscal data (data about a fiscal register and the operations that take place on it).

Non-fiscal mode is an operating mode that does not guarantee that fiscal functions are carried out. Non-fiscal mode is usually used to test device operation and to teach staff how to work with devices.

The Tillypad XL system uses standard fiscal registers for the fiscal registration of receipts (using tills (cash registers), bill printers, fiscal registers, etc.).

A fiscal register must be specified in the Devices directory. In this directory you can configure settings to allow the software module to control a particular fiscal register.

When you run the first fiscal registration on a device, the information about the fiscal register is automatically added to the Fiscal registers directory. Each fiscal register described in the directory must belong to a fiscal register type described in the Fiscal register types directory.
