Abstract

Access panel in the Stock item category window

Windows used to manage the Stock item categories directory:

Stock item category and Stock item categories editor windows
New stock item category and New stock item categories entry windows

All of these entry windows are opened from the context menu of the Stock item categories directory.

The editor window is opened by the Edit command and allows one or more categories to be edited.

If one stock item category is selected, the Stock item category window will open. The editor window is composed of the Properties and Access panels.

The Properties panel is composed of the following fields:

Name – name of the stock item category. Required field.
Stock item categories can be used to create new classifications of stock items.
Names of stock item categories are listed in the data grid of the Stock items directory.
Description – brief description.
Any additional information can be entered in this field.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Apply will save data without closing the window. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

When two or more stock item categories are selected for editing, the multiple editor window will open. The title in the window header changes to Stock item categories. A panel with the list of the selected categories is added to the editor window.

The fields are the same as in the Stock item category window.

The entry window makes it possible to add one or more stock item categories to the directory.

The New stock item category entry window is opened by the Add command or when adding a category from the clipboard.
