Specification panel in the Modifier window

The Specification panel is used for managing the groups and items in the modifier specification. Specification elements include modifier groups and the menu items incorporated into these groups.

Data grid columns:

  • Name indicates the name of the modifier group or item.

  • Description is a brief description of the group or item.

  • Index determines the position of the group or item in the POS terminal menu.

  • Modifier is the name of the modifier that includes this group or item.

  • Group designates the group in the modifier specification that includes the specification items.

  • Required indicates whether that this modifier group must be made available when the menu item is ordered.

  • Default specifies the modifier item as the default option.

The specification context menu has the following commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a menu item to the modifier specification.

  • Add group (Alt+Ins) – adds a new modifier group.

  • Edit (F2) – edits selected groups and items of the modifier specification.

  • Delete (Del) – permanently deletes groups and items from the modifier specification.

  • Select from menu – sequentially adds menu items to the modifier specification.

    When you select this command, a sequential entry window, which allows you to select items from the Menu directory, opens.

  • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add a new group of items to the modifier specification, use the New modifier group entry window. Attributes of selected modifier groups can be edited using the Modifier group and Modifier groups editor windows.

To add a new item to the draft modifier specification, use the New modifier specification item entry window. Attributes of selected modifier items can be altered using the Modifier specification item and Modifier specification items editor windows.

A confirm permanent deletion prompt appears when you delete draft modifier groups and items.
