Window fields:

  • Group indicates the group that the modifier item is contained in. In the editor window, this field is read-only.

In the entry window, this field is editable and must be filled out.

A selection is made in the Select modifier group window.

In order to select a modifier item from the POS terminal menu to add to an order, the user must first select the group in which the item is located.

  • Name is the name of the modifier item. This is a required field.

The name of the modifier item coincides with the name of the menu item it represents.

  • Index determines the position of the modifier item in the POS terminal menu.

This value allows you to change the display order of modifier items displayed in the group. By default, new items in the group are assigned the penultimate value. Indexing can be used to place the most popular items at the top of the group, making them easier to access at the POS terminal.

  • Default signals that the specification item is used by default. This is a required field.

Please choose between No and Yes.

The Yes option requires the user to select the modifier item and add it to an order. If the field is set to No, the POS terminal user can decide whether to add this modifier item to an order or not.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

The Modifier specification items editor window opens if two or more items were selected in the specification. A panel with a list of the selected items is added to the window.

The fields are similar to those in the Modifier specification item editor window.

The New modifier specification item entry window is opened by using the Add command. From here, you can add a new menu item to the modifier specification.
