Location window

Windows used for managing locations of divisions, stores, and devices:

All of these windows are opened from the Locations directory data grid.

You can open the editor window by using the Edit command. From here, you can modify attributes of one or more locations.

If one entry is selected in the data grid, the Location editor window opens. The window is composed of the Properties , Access , and Notification devices panels.

The Properties panel is composed of the following fields:

  • Name is the name of the location. This is a required field.

  • Description is a brief text description of the location.

    Any additional information can be entered in this field.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Apply will save data without closing the window. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

The multiple locations editor window opens if two or more entries are selected in the data grid. A panel displaying a list of the selected items is added to the window.

The fields and panels are similar to those in the Location window.

The entry window is used to add one or more locations to the directory.

You can open the New location entry window by using the Add command or by pasting a location from the clipboard.
