Windows used to manage attributes of stock items that are used in experiments:

All of these windows are opened from the development record specification context menus, which appear when you select stock items that are used in experiments.

You can open the editor window by using the Edit command. From here, you can modify attributes of one or more development record specification items.

If one entry is selected in the specification, the Development record specification item window opens.

Window fields:

  • Stock item is the stock item that is used in the experiment. The field is read-only.

    This field contains the name of the stock item that undergoes cold preparation or cooking in the experiment.

  • Experiment indicates the selected experiment.

    This field contains the name of the experiment in which the stock item is used.

  • Quantity denotes the gross quantity of the stock item. This is a required field.

    This field contains the initial quantity of the stock item used in the experiment.

    If stock items are to be deducted from the store after a set of experiments has been conducted, the quantities consumed in all the experiments will be summed up and deducted from the store.

    When a stock item recipe is updated using the results of the development record, the average quantity calculated from each experiment is used to determine the new values in the recipe of the compound stock item.

  • Cold preparation wastage % denotes the percentage of the stock item quantity modified during cold preparation.

    The modification percentage can be positive or negative. A positive value shows how much of the stock item’s quantity will be lost during this process. A negative value denotes by what percentage the stock item’s quantity will increase.

    You can select an option from the drop-down list containing values that were previously entered as options for cold preparation wastage in the Stock items directory, as well as the (empty) option, which allows you to forgo entering the cold preparation wastage.

    If the Stock items directory does not contain any options in the cold preparation wastage field, only the (empty) option will be available for selection.

  • Net indicates the net amount of the stock item after cold preparation. This is a required field.

    The value in this field is calculated automatically from the values entered into the Quantity and Cold preparation wastage % fields.

    Net = Quantity - Quantity*Cold preparation wastage %/100

  • Cooking wastage % is the percentage by which the stock item is modified during cooking.

    The modification percentage can be positive or negative. A positive value shows how much of the stock item’s quantity will be lost during this process. A negative value denotes by what percentage the stock item’s quantity will increase.

    You can select an option from the drop-down list containing values previously entered as options for cooking wastage in the Stock items directory, as well as the (empty) option, which allows you to forgo entering the cooking wastage.

    If the Stock items directory does not contain any options for cooking wastage, only the (empty) option will be available for selection.

  • Yield designates the quantity of the stock item after the experiment.

    The value in this field is calculated automatically from the values in the Net and Cooking wastage % fields.

    Yield = Net - Net*Cooking wastage %/100

  • Comment is a short comment on the processing of the stock item during the experiment.

    Any text can be entered into this field as a description of the development record specification item.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

The Development record specification items editor window opens if you select information about the processing of one stock item in different experiments or information about the processing of multiple stock items in one experiment. A panel with a list of experiments and the selected stock items will be added to the window.

The fields are similar to those in the Development record specification item window.

You can open the Development record specification item viewing window by using the View command. From here, you can modify attributes of one or more specification items in a development record with the status Ready or Registered.

If one entry is selected in the specification, the Development record specification item window opens. This window is similar to the Development record specification item editor window, but its fields cannot be edited.
