Sometimes you may need to correct errors that have occurred during the payment of a guest tab. In these situations, you can use operations from the Delete payments group to edit guest tabs and their orders, bills, or payments.

The table below shows which operations are carried out along with each of the deletion options. It also explains the conditions under which each deletion option is available.

Different Delete payments options suit different situations.

For example, if the wrong bill has been paid, you can use the Delete payment option. This operation allows you to return the guest tab and its orders and bills to their pre-payment state.

The Edit payment option is ideal when you want to edit a payment specification after the receipt has already been printed. This may be necessary if, for example, you have already entered the entire cash payment amount into the payment specification when the customer suddenly realises that he does not have enough cash on hand and wants to pay a portion of the total using a debit card.

The Void payment option is used when during or after guest tab payment you realise that the wrong guest tab was selected and sent to payment.

The Edit guest tab option is used when you need to make changes to an order that has already been paid for, if for example, a customer sees an item he did not order on the receipt during payment.

And finally, the Delete all option is used when the goods, dishes and services in the guest tab have not actually been sold and/or provided, for example, if the guest tab was created for training purposes.

Payments can be deleted in FastFood , Restaurant waiter , Reservations , Club cashier , Delivery , Delivery via call centre , and Administrator modes.

To delete payments, select a guest tab and choose the Delete payments command in the context menu. This command becomes available if the guest tab has at least one bill.
