Menu groups are used to combine menu items on the basis of any criteria the users consider useful.

Lists of menu groups are available in the data grids of the Menu and Menu groups directories. Menu groups appear in viewing window data grids in tree list form.

Each menu group can be composed of other groups. A menu group with other groups inside it is known as a parent group. The groups nested within it are known as child groups.
