Sales rules allow for different promotion types for customers, including: various discount and markup systems, the ability to earn and spend points when purchasing menu items, and rewards such as additional services or giveaways. When promotion types are in use, clients can receive benefits in monetary form (discounts, special reduced prices, etc.) or in kind (bonus services, complimentary dishes, etc.). The reverse is also possible if promotion types involve markups or penalty charges. The sale price of a menu item can decrease (when discounted) or increase (when marked up), and an order can include additional items for which the customer does not have to pay. The specified promotion category serves as a signal to apply the given promotion type.

Promotion types allow you to: determine the calculation methods for discount or giveaway amounts, select which menu groups and menu items the promotion is applied to, and decide whether any points are to be used. Calculation method for discounts and bonuses are selected from the Promotion formulas directory, whereas the applied points are selected from the Point types directory.

Customer loyalty programs are managed in the Promotion types directory.
