To provide flexibility of pricing, Tillypad XL makes it possible to create enterprise working days (periods, days of week, dates, hours) of specific types when discounts, sales rules or price schedules are applied to menu items. These day types can include intervals of time that can repeat with customised frequency. Day types can be created for Lunchtime, Lent diet, Italian pizza day when certain sales rules or price schedules are applied to menu items.

Day type settings can be made for each division, i.e. the user can specify when and how often certain day types will be applied.

Day type settings are made for future time periods. The week is chosen as a reference period for day type settings. Settings become effective from 12 p.m. of the current Monday. Settings for a certain day of the week will repeat each week. The program also enables to make settings for special days, i.e. for a particular date or a date range.

Day type settings are stored and managed in the Day type settings directory.
