Drafts directory
Draft window

The Draft is a collection of changes to be applied to the Menu directory.

They allow changes to the active menu, or a completely new menu, to be prepared in advance and then applied instantly, without causing disruption to the active menu in the process of preparation.

Drafts are used by different employees to simultaneously prepare changes to be applied to active menus.

Any number of Drafts can be created and managed in the Drafts directory.

Any draft in the Drafts directory is accompanied by a draft menu accessible via the Draft menu directory.

Rules of working with the Draft menu directory are applicable to the Menu directory.

Tillypad XL Manager makes it possible to create, store and edit any number of drafts. A draft can be created by any employee who is authorized to do it. The system tracks the changes made to drafts and stores the information about who and when created any draft.

Each draft has a status. If a draft was created but is not ready to be applied, it has the Not ready status. In this case it is allowed to make changes to the draft and its draft menu.

If a draft was created and is ready to be applied (i.e. all necessary changes have been made to its associated draft menu), it has the Ready status. The draft itself can be edited but not its draft menu. If an activation date is specified for this draft, it will be automatically activated on this date.

If a draft has already been activated, the Active status will be automatically assigned to it. After that no changes can be made to its draft menu.

A ready made menu can be activated when needed. The changes made to the Draft menu directory will be applied to the Menu directory.
