Menu types are used for arbitrarily categorising and filtering menu items. For example, it can be needed to indicate the country where stock items were produced or to specify the level of spice.

Menu type can be specified for menu items in the Menu directory and draft menu items in the Draft menu directory.

Menu types are stored and managed in the Menu types directory.
