Stock items which volume can be determined by weighing with or without container are classified as By weight items. Such stock items have Yes value in the By weight field of the Properties panel.
The information entered in the Weight panel is used for determining the stock item volume by weighing it on scales with or without its container.
Weighing a stock item to determine its volume is often useful, for example, to measure volume or quantity of loose items in boxes, or liquids in containers. For example, when weighing the stock of vegetable oil using a measuring container some oil remains on the walls and bottoms of both original and measuring containers. Tare characteristics enables to take into account weight of various containers, which can be used to store stock items.
The relationship between weight and volume or quantity is specified in the Weight panel along with the tare weights of various containers.
Weight panel fields:
Density – net volume of the stock item expressed in preset units of measurement. Required field.
Unit (stock item) – unit of measurement of the stock item. The name of this field is not displayed in the window. Required field.
The value is selected in the window. By default this field contains the value defined for this stock item in the directory.
Specific weight – weight in grams of the specified volume of the stock item. Field name is not displayed. Required field.
Data grid columns:
Name – name of the container type.
Description – brief description of the container type.
Weight – weight of the container type.
Default – indicates whether the container type is the default one.
Stock item – name of the stock item kept in containers of various types.
The context menu contains the following commands:
(Ins) – adds a new container type.
(F2) – edits the selected container types.
(Del) – deletes the selected container types.
(Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.
– menu with the commands to manage summary functions of the data grid.
– menu with the commands to operate the data grid.
The entry window is used to add a new container type. The and editor windows are used for editing parameters of container types.
The permanent delete confirmation prompt is used when deleting container types.
