Select promotion type window

The Promotion types directory is used for working with customer promotion types, which determine how discounts, markups, and bonus systems are applied when menu items are sold.

Location of the directory: Sales – Promotion directories – Promotion types.

Data grid columns:

Name indicates the name of the promotion type.
Description is a brief description of the promotion type.
Promotion formula denotes the promotion formula that determines how discounts, markups, or bonuses are calculated.
Points settings indicates whether points must be applied in the given promotion type.
Security level designates the security level assigned to the promotion type.
System is a tag identifying system objects.

The context menu of the directory contains the following commands:

Add (Ins) – adds a promotion type.
Edit (F2) – edits promotion type attributes.
Delete (Del) – deletes promotion types from the directory to the Recycle bin.
Export – menu with the commands to export files into an external file or update package.
Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.
Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.
Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.
Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add new promotion types, use the New promotion type and New promotion types entry windows. To edit directory contents, use the Promotion type and New promotion types editor windows.

When you delete promotion types, a confirmation prompt appears.

The Select promotion type window is used to open the directory data grid from the window fields.
