Sales rules directory

The Sales rules directory is used to manage sales rules. Sales rules determine how menu item prices are calculated, taking into account promotion types as well as the dates and times when these items were sold.

Sales rules can include various promotion types and their associated promotion categories, as well as the day types for which these rules apply.

Data grid columns:

  • Name indicates the name of a given sales rule.

  • Description is a brief description of the sales rule.

  • Promotion type denotes the promotion type used in the sales rule.

  • Security level is the security level assigned to the sales rule.

  • System is a tag identifying system objects.

The context menu of the directory contains the following commands:

  • Add (Ins) – adds a sales rule.

  • Edit (F2) – edits attributes of sales rules.

  • Delete (Del) – deletes sales rules from the directory to the Recycle bin.

  • Export – menu with the commands to export files into an external file or update package.

  • Clipboard – menu with the commands to operate the clipboard.

  • Print (Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.

  • Summary functions – menu with the commands to manage the summary functions of the data grid.

  • Additional functions – menu with the commands to operate the data grid.

To add new sales rules to the directory, use the New sales rule and New sales rules entry windows. To edit attributes of sales rules, use the Sales rule and Sales rules editor windows. You can also make changes to the directory by using the Sales rules by promotion categories operational report.

When you delete sales rules, a confirmation prompt appears.

The Select sales rule window is used to open the directory data grid from window fields.
