Stock item ID window

Windows used with stock item IDs:

All of these windows are opened from the IDs panel data grid.

The editor window is opened by using the Edit command in the context menu when one or more stock item IDs are selected.

If one item is selected, the Stock item ID editor window opens.

Window fields:

  • Stock item indicates the stock item for which the ID is specified. This is a required field.

  • Container type is the container type used for storage of the stock item.

    You can select this value from the list of container types entered in the Weight panel.

  • Quantity designates the quantity of the stock item that corresponds to the ID.

    For example, this might be applicable when preparing collation reports for stocktaking records.

  • Unit (stock item) refers to the unit of measurement for the stock item.

  • Code is the ID code. This is a required field.

    An ID code can be entered manually or with a device.

  • Type indicates the ID type of the stock item. This is a required field.

    Please select an ID type in the Select ID type window.

  • Mask is an attribute to indicate whether the ID code is a mask. This is a required field.

    You can choose between No and Yes.

  • Comment is a short comment on the stock item ID.

    Any additional information can be entered in this field.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

When two or more stock item IDs are selected for editing, the multiple editor window is opened. The name of the editor window changes to Stock item IDs. A panel with a list of the selected stock item IDs is added to the window (the names of corresponding stock items are specified in brackets).

The fields are similar to those in the Stock item ID window.

The New stock item ID entry window is opened by using the Add command. From here, you can add a new item to the specification.
