The Sales section is one of the main parts of the system. It is used for managing sales of the menu items offered to customers and payments for goods and services. It also contains descriptions of various discounts and bonuses for customers.

The Sales section allows you to:

  • Manage divisions and sales departments in the system.

  • Gather information on payment methods and configure the necessary settings.

  • Configure settings for the payment modes used in divisions (bill generating modes): item-by-item or cumulative payment.

  • Configure sales settings.

  • Create and configure different POS terminal operation modes.

  • Create table types and manage tables.

  • Manage business days, orders, guest tabs, bills, receipts, fiscal registrations, and authorisation operations.

  • Monitor the statuses of tables, devices, guest tabs, and customer accounts (including operations and balances) and manage customer points and points operations.

  • Log reasons for restricted POS terminal operations (reasons for deletions of orders and menu items from orders).

  • Create and edit the settings that allow you to temporarily exclude menu items from sale.

  • Describe the promotion types, discounts, bonuses, and promotion categories offered to customers. A promotion rounding mode can be set up for discount calculation.

The Sales section incorporates sales directories, promotion type directories, lists and document lists, settings directories, operational reports, and operation and remote guest tab surveillance windows.

You can populate the lists of the Sales section in the course of running your enterprise. Data are usually added automatically when employees operate POS terminals in Tillypad XL POS. However, authorised users can add, edit, and delete data in Tillypad XL Manager.

Operational reports are used to retrieve current sales data.

Restricted POS terminal operations are automatically registered in the Restricted POS terminal operations operational report. Managers can use this report to track actions taken by staff in Tillypad XL POS. The Deletions from orders (with stock deduction) operational report shows a list of menu items, the deletion of which has caused the deduction of stock items.

The Sales rules by promotion category operational report is used to view the sales rules applied to order items when promotion categories are used.

Lists, operations, and operational reports are opened from the Sales submenu.

The section contains the following lists: Sales:

The Sales section allows you to carry out the following operations:

  • Promotion recalculation – recalculates the total payment amount, taking into account the promotion categories applied to guest tabs according to active promotion types.

  • Sales copying – copies information about purchased and paid menu items from one division to another.

  • Remote guest tab surveillance – opens a list of the main actions carried out on the selected guest tabs.

These operations are launched by the menu options of the same name

Information about the current states of tables and devices can be received via the Monitoring window.

To access the monitoring window, use the Monitoring option in the Sales menu. This menu option contains a list of seating layouts and devices. A monitoring window can be opened for each of them.

The Sales section settings directories should be populated during the initial configuration of Tillypad XL Manager before work is begun. Later, users can make changes and add data to the settings directories. To access settings directories, use the Settings option in the Sales submenu.

Tillypad XL provides an unlimited number of ways to use customer loyalty programmes (promotion types). You can set up various discounts and markups and add or deduct points – all depending on the customer, day of the week, time of day, amount spent, etc. For example, you can give dessert discounts for children, Sunday brunch discounts, or weekday lunch specials for employees from 12:00 to 16:00. Cumulative discounts are another type of discount offered in Tillypad XL. This discount might be a cumulative quantity discount that will be applied if the customer purchases a particular number of menu items, for example, every third beer for free. Alternatively, a threshold cumulative discount applied if a certain spending threshold is met, e.g. 10% off orders of more than £100, can be implemented..

Tillypad XL also allows you to introduce specific sales rules for certain menu items and to use discounts based on earned points.

You can also use Lucky tab discounts to offer a discount to a randomly chosen customer. The size of the discount and its application interval are set up by the user.

Promotion types and rules on how discounts or markups are provided and how points are earned and deducted can be found in the directories from the Promotion directories submenu in the Sales menu.

The Promotion directories submenu allows you to open the following directories:
