Menu item IDs are intended to select menu items on the POS terminal using their IDs, for example, bar codes. They make it possible to add menu items to orders using ID readers.
Menu item IDs are not included into the directory, they are directly assigned to the menu items listed in the directory.
The IDs panel shows all the IDs assigned to the menu item.
The IDs panel is composed of just one field:
Inherit IDs – attribute which indicates that the IDs are inherited from the basic menu item. Required field.
The field is available in windows of those menu items which were created on the basis of other items (the Based on field on the Properties panel must be completed).
Selection is made from Yes and No options. If Yes option is selected, all the IDs assigned to the basic menu item are added automatically to the specification of the inherited menu item. In case No option is selected, the IDs will not be assigned to the inherited item.
The IDs panel's data grid is composed of the following columns:
Menu item – name of the menu item to which the ID is applied.
It is used to identify the draft menu item that the ID is associated with.Quantity – number of portions selected after presenting the ID.
Volume – volume of the menu item selected after presenting the ID.
Unit (menu) – unit of measurement used to keep records of the menu item.
Code – ID code or mask.
Type – ID type.
Mask – attribute to indicate whether the ID mask is applied or not.
Comment – ID brief description.
The panel context menu contains the following commands:
(Ins) – adds an ID for the menu item.
(F2) – edits selected IDs of the menu item.
(Del) – permanently deletes IDs assigned to the menu item.
(Ctrl+P) – generates print layouts.
– menu with the commands to manage summary functions of the data grid.
– menu with the commands to operate the data grid.
The window is used to add a new ID to the menu item. Attributes of selected IDs can be altered using the and editor windows.
The permanent delete confirmation prompt is used when deleting menu item IDs.
