The following windows are used to work with menu item IDs:

The editor window is opened by the one or more menu items IDs to be viewed and edited.

Window fields:
Menu item – name of the menu item that the ID is assigned to. Required field.
The name of the menu item selected using its ID will be added to an order.
Quantity – number of portions of the menu item that the ID represents.
By default, this quantity will be displayed in the order or in the menu item editor window if the menu item's sales parameters allow its quantity to be edited.
Volume – volume of the menu item that the ID represents.
This volume will be added to the order when the ID is entered at the terminal. Or, if the menu item's sales parameters allow the number of portions to be edited, this volume will appear by default in the editor window when the ID is entered.
Unit (menu) – unit of measurement used to keep records of the menu item volume.
Read-only. Field name is not displayed for convenience.
Menu unit of measurement is shown in orders, bills, receipts and different reports.
The volume of the menu item that the ID represents and the volume of the menu item itself are expressed in the same units of measurement. You cannot select another unit of measurement in the menu item ID window.
Code – ID code or ID mask to compare the ID code. Required field.
Selection is made from Yes or No options.
If No is selected in the Mask field, the code is a unique ID. If Yes is selected, it is a partial ID to compare an entered value with the ID mask.
Different ID codes can be used to uniquely identify different variations of the same menu item.
Example: when selling draft beer under the Our own beer
menu item we can create IDs to sell a pint or a pitcher.
Type – ID type. Required field.
Selection is made in the window.
The most common ID types are included as system objects. Other types can be added as required.
Mask – attribute to indicate whether the ID mask is applied or not. Required field.
Selection is made from Yes or No options.
An ID mask is used for different menu items of the same type that are added to an order as one item. For example, Bottled juices
could cover Bottled orange juice
, Bottled tomato juice
, etc.
Comment – short comment.
Any additional information can be entered in this field.
Click
to save data. Selecting will close the window without saving data.When two or more menu item IDs are selected for editing, the multiple menu item ID editor window will open. Then a panel displaying the selected menu item IDs is added to the editor window, and the title in the window header changes over to .
The fields and their purpose are the same as in the Menu item ID editor window.
The entry window is opened by the command from the IDs panel context menu.
