Sales parameters determine what properties of menu items can be adjusted when menu items are added to orders at POS terminals.
Sales parameters are assigned to menu items or draft menu items when entering them in the or directory, respectively.
Sales parameter defines which operations should be made when adding the menu item to an order or when editing its properties in an order. Sales parameters also determine whether a menu item is an independent item for sale, or whether it is intended for use only as a modifier with other items.
They allow adjustment of:
volume (weight, quantity, time)
price
course
quantity
text comment to order items
There are two methods of adjustment:
with request depicted by the symbol "+" - then the editor window will be opened when adding a menu item to an order and when editing a menu item that has already been added to an order. In the editor window only those fields are enabled which correspond to parameters with request.
without request depicted by the symbol "*" - then the editor window will be opened only when editing an order item.
Supposing, sales parameters of the Vitamin salad
menu item enable to change quantity by request. It means that when selecting this menu item in the POS terminal menu the editor window will open where the operator can change number of portions. By default, it will be number of portions specified in the Menu. Let's consider the situation, when sales parameters of this menu item enable to change its quantity without a request. When selecting this menu item on the POS terminal menu, 1
portion will be added to an order without the editor window opening. Adjustments can then be made by selecting the item in the order and editing it.
