Button window

Windows used to manage buttons on the screen form layout:

All of these windows are opened from the context menu of the Layout panel, provided the panel is in the editing mode.

The editor window allows you to modify attributes of one or more buttons that have been previously placed on the screen form layout.

If one button is selected on the layout, the Button window opens. The window is composed of the Properties and Visual properties panels.

The Properties panel is composed of the following fields:

  • Element type is an element type that can be selected in the screen form by pressing the corresponding button. This is a required field.

    The element type selected in this field determines the name and function of the field below it.

    You can select one of the following options:

    • Menu item – allows you to select a menu item.

      If Menu item is selected from the list, the window displays the Menu item field.

      Please select a menu item in the Select menu item window.

    • Menu group – allows you to select a menu group.

      If Menu group is selected from the list, the window displays the Menu group field.

      Please select a menu group in the Select menu group window.

    • Payment method and denomination – allows you to select a payment method or a payment method denomination.

      If the Payment method and denomination option is selected from the list, the window displays the Payment method field.

      Please select a payment method in the Select payment method window.

    • Seating and device layout – allows you to select a seating and device layout.

      If Seating and device layout is selected from the list, the window displays the Seating layout field.

      You can select a seating layout in the Select seating layout window.

    • Keyboard shortcut action – allows you to select a keyboard shortcut action, using which you can assign various non-standard functions to keyboard keys.

      If Keyboard shortcut action is selected, the window will display the Keyboard shortcut action field.

      Please select a keyboard shortcut action in the Select keyboard shortcut action window.

    • Special function – allows you to select keyboard keys intended to perform special functions (navigation, numeric value input, etc.).

      If Special function is selected, the window displays the Special function field.

      You can select a special function in the Select special function window.

    • Report – allows you to select a report.

      If Report is selected from the list, the window displays the Report field.

      Please select a report in the Select report window.

    • Promotion category – allows you to select a promotion category.

      If Promotion category is selected from the list, the window displays the Promotion category field.

      You can select a promotion category in the Select promotion category window.

    • Screen form – allows you to select a screen form.

      If Screen form is selected from the list, the window displays the Screen form field.

      You can select a screen form in the Select screen form window.

Click OK to save data. Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving data.

The Buttons window opens if two or more buttons have been selected for editing on the screen form layout in editing mode. A panel with a list of the selected buttons is added to the window.

The fields and panels are similar to those in the Button window.

You can open the New button entry window using the Add button command.

By default, when you open the window, the Element type field displays the Menu item value, and the window displays the Menu item field.
