Working with Tillypad XL Manager and Tillypad XL POS, as well as with the Tillydroid app requires a separate licence for each workplace. Licences are divided into several types based on the functionalities they provide to a workstation. Each licence type allows you to carry out a different set of operations connected to a particular sphere of activity (work with customers, settings and directories, store document management).

To use the functions of Tillypad XL Manager and Tillypad XL POS, as well those of the Tillydroid app, you need to specify a unique licence key on a specific workstation.

Depending on their sites of verification, licences can be global or local. If global licences are used, the segment application server checks their keys on the licence server via the Internet. If local licences are in use, the keys are verified by the server of the segment for which the licence file package is specified in the segment window.

In Tillypad XL POS, licence types determine which POS terminal operating modes are available to the user.

In Tillypad XL Manager, each licence type offers the following functional capabilities:

  • F licence (front office):

    • viewing all directories related to menu item sales,

    • viewing and editing lists related to menu item sales.

  • B licence (back office):

    • viewing and editing all directories related to menu item sales,

    • viewing lists related to menu item sales,

    • viewing and editing administrative directories and settings directories.

  • S licence (stock) – carrying out operations on stock items and store documents

    • viewing and editing directories related to the Store section,

    • viewing and editing store documents,

    • viewing and editing administrative directories and settings directories.

  • R licence (read only) – viewing all directories and document lists in Tillypad XL Manager (no editing capabilities)

Working in any mode of the Tillydroid app requires an A licence (Tillydroid).

The Licence settings directory is used for managing licences in Tillypad XL Manager.

The licence keys for POS terminals are entered in the terminals' parameters.

For mobile POS terminals that use Tillydroid, licence keys are specified in the Tillydroid broker device parameters.

Information about the current licence state is displayed in the status bar in Tillypad XL Manager.
