Sales exclusion allows some menu items or menu groups to be temporarily removed from sale. This does not remove them from the Menu directory, but makes excluded items disabled for inclusion in orders at all or specified POS terminals.

Tillypad XL enables the following options for excluding certain menu items from sale:

Excluded items cannot be selected for inclusion in orders, because they will be disabled at the specified POS terminals until the exclusion from sale is canceled.

Sales exclusion for menu items and groups in all divisions can be configured in the Menu directory. In order to exclude a certain menu item or menu item group from sale, set the Exclude from sale flag.

Sales exclusion for menu items at all POS terminals within a specified time period of a day can be configured using the Menu and Price schedules directories. This is achieved by adding a price schedule to the menu item and specifying Not for sale in the Price field for the required period.

Sales exclusion for menu items at all POS terminals in a specific division, or at one POS terminal in a specific division is accomplished using the Sales exclusions directory. This can also be managed using Tillypad XL POS in Sales exclusions mode.
