The Specification panel is intended to specify time periods within the business day when the promotion category is active.
The Specification panel is a list of promotion categories with time periods which indicate when the promotion categories are active within the business day.
The <No promotion category> line is added to the table. In order to apply a certain sales rule to guest tabs or orders with no specified promotion category, select the <No promotion category> option and indicate the selected time interval.
Data grid columns:
Promotion category – name of the promotion category to be applied.
Enabled – determines whether the promotion category is active during a certain time period.
The Enabled column is displayed if time intervals are specified.
A promotion category can be associated with a set of time intervals, when it is enabled or not. The Interval start and Interval end parameters are used to describe time intervals. They can correspond to business hours of the enterprise, but can also represent certain moments of time expressed in hours and minutes. In table's headers there are displayed start and end times of time intervals.
By default, the column is not displayed. When adding a time interval, which corresponds to either start or end of the business day, one Enabled column is added to the table. If one more time interval is added, the table will contain two Enabled columns. The first column is associated with the time interval from the beginning of the business day or from the end of the previous interval till the beginning of the newly-added interval. The second column is associated with the time period from the end of the newly-added interval till the beginning of the next interval or to the end of the business day.
