Windows used to manage attributes of stock items used to perform experiments:
All these windows are opened from the context menu of development record specifications if stock items used in experiments were selected.
The editor window is opened by the command if one or more specification items are selected.
The window is composed of the following fields:
Stock item – stock item used in the experiment. The field is read-only.
This field contains the name of the stock item that undergoes cold preparation or cooking in the experiment.
Experiment – name of the selected experiment.
This field contains the name of the experiment in which the stock item is used.
Volume – volume of the stock item (gross). Required field.
This field contains an initial volume of the stock item used for the experiment.
If stock items are to be deducted from store after conducting experiments, their volumes consumed in all the experiments will be summed up and deducted from store.
When a stock item recipe is updated using the results of a development record, the average values calculated from all the experiments are used to determine the new values in the recipe of the compound stock item.
Cold preparation wastage % – percentage of stock item wastage during its cold preparation.
The value is selected from a drop-down list that contains the names of the cold preparation wastages defined in the directory and an (empty) option that allows the stock item to be entered without defining its cold preparation wastage.
If the directory does not contain any definitions of cold preparation wastage, only the (empty) option will be available for selection.
Nett – net volume of the stock item after cold preparation. Required field.
The value in this field is calculated automatically from the values entered into the Volume and Cold preparation wastage % fields.
Nett = Volume - Volume*Cold preparation wastage %/100
Cooking wastage % – percentage of stock item wastage during its cooking.
The value is selected from a drop-down list that contains the names of the cooking wastages defined in the directory and an (empty) option that allows the stock item to be entered without defining its cooking wastage.
If the directory does not contain any definitions of cooking wastage, only the (empty) option will be available for selection.
Result – volume of the stock item after the experiment.
The value in this field is calculated automatically from the values entered into the Nett and Cooking wastage % fields.
Result = Nett - Nett*Cooking wastage %/100
Comment – comments on the procedure of stock item processing during the experiment.
Any arbitrary text can be entered into this field as a description of the development record specification item.
