Stock on hand (on date) makes it possible to view stock items held on stores at a specified date. Stock on hand and cost price of stock movement from store to store are found using cost price calculation procedure.

Stock on hand is calculated on the basis of store documents processed by the storekeeping system. These documents are as follows:

Stock on hand data on a specified date can be found in the Stock on hand operational report.

Stock on hand on date can be generated for any store and any date. The user cannot make any changes to stock on hand data.

Current on hand is on-hand stock level for the current moment.

Stock on hand on a specified date can be used to populate specifications of stock-in and stock-out documents and to compare reports.

In order to add a stock item from the stock on hand list to the specification of a store document, use the Select from stock on hand windows or the clipboard. Stock on hand is calculated for the store and date specified in this document.

If stock monitoring is disabled for a store, stock on hand can be negative, i.e. the volume of used stock is more than theoretical on hand. To avoid negative stock on hand when populating stock-out documents, it is recommended to do the calculation of stock items included in their specifications.

Store documents data can be accounted for in the Stock on hand report with a certain delay because the calculation takes some time.

Sales and cost price calculation are generally carried out in different segments. Otherwise, cost price calculation must be stopped to process sales. In order to monitor sales and avoid deficiencies, it is necessary to immediately calculate current on hand inventory. That is the purpose of the Current on hand directory.
