Abstract

The Stock item panel is made available if the Stock item option was set to the Class field in the Properties panel.

The Stock item panel makes it possible to specify those menu items that are linked to stock items deducted from store when the menu items are sold. Such stock items are deducted from store upon sales records.

Using this panel the user can set a proportion of the menu item to the stock item deducted from store.

The Stock item is composed of the following fields:

Stock item – name of the stock item deducted from store when the menu item is sold. Required field.
Selection is made in the Select stock item window.
Note
It is recommended that the stock item deducted from store inventory is included into the Stock items directory. A new stock item can be added to the directory in the same Select stock item window.
The stock item will be included into sales records. Its volume will depend on the volume sold of the menu item.

Volume (menu) – volume of the menu item to be added to an order. Required field.
The values in this field and in the Volume (stock item) field determine the amount of the stock item to be deducted from store when the menu item is sold. The volume is expressed in the menu units of measurement.
It indicates the menu item's volume corresponding to the stock item's volume to be deducted from store.
Unit (menu) – menu unit of measurement. The field is read only. It contains default values.
The name of this field is not displayed in the window for more convenience. This field displays the value specified in the Unit (menu) filed of the Properties panel.
Volume (stock item) – volume of the stock item to be deducted from store when the menu item is sold. Required field.
The default value displayed in the stock item unit of measurement field is the unit of measurement used for that item in the Stock items directory.
The value indicates the volume of the stock item to be deducted from store when a particular volume of the associated menu item is sold.
This value will be entered in sales records and in the following operational reports: Stock movement , Stock item turnover , Stock out by stock in and Stock in by stock out .
Unit (stock item) – unit of measurement of the stock item specified in the Stock item field. Required field. The name of this field is not displayed in the window for more convenience.
This field is automatically populated with the unit of measurement specified for the stock item in the Stock items directory.
Selection is made in the Select stock item unit of measurement window. The selection window displays only units of measurement that belong to the same group in the Stock item units of measurement directory as the unit of measurement that is specified for the stock item.
This value will be entered in sales records and in the following operational reports: Stock movement , Stock item turnover , Stock out by stock in and Stock in by stock out .
Ad hoc recipe – attribute to indicate the necessity of the information request about stock on hand needed for the calculation of the stock item deducted from store when the associated menu item is sold.Required field.
Value is selected from No or Yes. By default the No option is set to the filed.
