Update packages directory

The Update packages directory is used to manage update packages. An update package is a set of objects that can be updated in the application without the need to update the entire database.

Location: System -> Update packages.

Update packages directory

Data grid columns:

Name — name of the update package.
Description — description of the update package.
Date — date when the update package was last exported to an external file. Entered automatically by the system.
Date applied — date when the update package was imported from external file. Entered automatically by the system.

After being imported from external file, the update package becomes read-only. It cannot be deleted from the directory.

Context menu commands:

Add (Ins) — add new update package.
Edit / View (F2) — edit or view selected update packages.
Delete (Del) — delete update packages to Recycle bin.
Export — menu containing commands for exporting data to an external file or to an update package.
Print (Ctrl+P) — print out.
Summary functions — contains commands for displaying statistical summaries of column data.
Additional functions — contains additional commands for working with data grids.

The New update package, Update package and Update packages windows are used for adding and editing update packages. The Update package and Update packages windows are used for viewing update packages.

The Select update package window is used to select an update package.

The confirm delete prompt is used when deleting update packages.
