Store group windows

Windows used with store groups:

Store group and Store groups editor windows,
New store group entry window.

The editor window is opened by the Edit command in the context menu when one or more store groups are selected.

Editor window

If one store group is selected, the Store group window will open.

Store group editor window

Properties panel fields:

Name — name of the store group. Required field.
Organisation — name of the organisation the store group belongs to. Selection is made in the Select partner window.
Description — brief description.
Security category — security category for the store group. Required field.

Selection is made in the Select security category window.

Defines which users have access to stores in the store group, and to documents and operations relating to those stores.
Cost price precision — number of decimal places in calculated stock item cost prices. Read only.

This value can only be set in the entry window and cannot be edited later.

This field can only be edited in the New store group entry window.

Selecting OK will add the data to the directory and close the window. Selecting Apply will add the data to the directory without closing the window.

Selecting Cancel will close the window without saving any changes.

Multiple editor window

When two or more store groups are selected for editing, the multiple editor window opens. It has a panel displaying a list of the selected store groups. The title in the window header is Store groups.

The fields and panels are the same as in the Store group window.

When multiple records are selected for editing, any changes that are saved will be applied to all of the selected records.

Entry window

The New store group entry window is opened by the Add command from the context menu of the Store groups directory.

The fields and panels are the same as in the Store group window with the exception of the Cost price precision field.

The value in the Cost price precision field determines how many decimal places are used when calculating the cost price of stock items in stores within the store group. Required field.
