Payment methods
are used for classification of the various methods of payment used by guests to settle bills at terminals.
Payment methods are grouped by arbitrary criteria for convenience. Payment method groups cannot contain subgroups. Payment methods and payment method groups are used for sorting and filtering data in reports.
Every payment method in the system must belong to a group. Groups can be used to sort payment methods by any arbitrary criteria, such as:

medium: cash, debit card, credit card, cashless

type: cash, bank card, voucher

payment type: full settlement, partial settlement, credit.
Note
It is not recommended to have the same payment method in different payment method groups.
Payment methods are used in payment settings, which are managed in the directory. These payment settings are specified in the configuration of terminals and are displayed as payment method options on the terminal screen.
If a terminal has a keyboard attached, shortcut keys can be defined in the directory to enable quick selection of different payment methods.
The directory contains information about all payment methods used in the system.
Payment method groups can be managed in the directory and also in the directory.
The directory allows both payment methods and payment method groups to be temporarily disabled.
Security categories are used to limit employee access to different payment methods when settling bills at terminals.
